For Wooden Wicks

First Burn

My wicks are from American Cherry Wood which is known for its soft qualities to allow melted wax to be drawn up by the flame.

To start the process, use a barbeque lighter that you can hold on the wick for approximately 25-30 seconds to get the wick to burn strong enough to draw melted wax to the flame.

For best results, allow the candle to burn for approximately 1 hour to allow the wax to melt uniformly across the surface with the candle to leave a desirable surface for future burns.

For 2nd and Subsequent Burns

Pinch the very tender burnt ashes from the wick to get a strong and desirable burn.

For maximum burn time, please keep the wick trimmed to 5mm.

Additional Safety Precautions

Do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.

Stop burning the candle when there is approximately ½” of wax left in the vessel.

Glass jars can get very hot, caution while burning and handle with care.

Never leave a burning candle unattended.

WARNING

Keep out of reach from children and pets. Burn on a secure heat-safe surface away from flammable, drafts, or volatile fuels. Not recommended to light cigarettes or cigars with a candle.

Recycling

Once the candle is completely burned, freeze jars overnight to cleanly remove the wax and wick. This beautiful jar can be recycled by storing pieces of jewelry, small items, or  according to your needs.
